Description

According to Arlington police, the temporary shift of the eastbound right lane of Columbia Pike to right turn only for several hours in the morning is the work of VDOT. There are, supposedly, 7 signs. BUT, no road markings, and no illuminated signs...think about it, for someone who doesn't live there, driving in heavy traffic--you look for speed limit and stop signs, not every sign on the side of the road, or you will drive into someone. Temporary lanes on Rt. 66 are marked with illuminated signs...so are the temporary one-way time periods on 17th St in the District. This just seems like a great way for Arlington police to rack up the big bucks for the county budget. Put up attention-grabbing signs, VDOT!!
