Thank you, but they don't need to come back to pick it up - I flagged them down. But please read my whole message to know of the two other issues I mentioned: 1) rapid biodegradable bag breakdown/leakage, and 2) MAGGOTS, AGH!!

Yes, the pickup was resolved (by me), but what about the other things I asked about?

The biodegradable bags "melt" through well before pick-up, whether in countertop buckets or in the outdoor receptacle, and the resultant carpet of big MAGGOTS I was left with in the receptacle after the workers dumped my compost into their truck.

It sounds like you may need to rinse out your bins, but here are a few suggestions for the future: 1. drain liquids from food scraps in the sink (liquid fats, oils and grease go in the trash) before placing them in your kitchen bin. 2. After removing the compostable bag, rinse out the kitchen bin and make sure it is dry before replacing the bag. 3. After collection, turn the curbside bin upside down onto grass or soil for a minute or two and then leave it open in the sun until it is fully dried out. 4. Take advantage of the rain to leave the curbsude bin open, empty the water out on the grass or soil, and let it dry in the sun.
