Deskripsyon

The sidewalk where the water meter is in the ground has raised causing a tripping hazard, I reported this to Utilities in April 2018, Then reported to County Roads in May 2018, County Roads came out in May and placed a cone and left it like that with no repair, until I recently called again in June 2018 and County Roads came out and made a wedge out of asphalt last week! Well since then the wedge is cracking and the ground is raising! There is definitely something going on under the sidewalk!!! This matter needs immediate attention before someone falls and gets hurt, Thank you

If a tripping hazard exists, the sidewalk will be wedged with asphalt for safety. Wedging of heaved or settled panels of concrete sidewalk not as a result of County infrastructure are done as a courtesy. Total replacement of the sidewalk is dependent upon the severity of the problem and available funding. If the sidewalk is raised less than two (2) inches, the asphalt will be the permanent repair. Work order is still open pending further evaluation.

My concern is that the Asphalt has cracked since last week, and this is still a tripping hazard as you can not see this at night! When someone falls and gets hurt who does this fall on? Also when Utilities came out here in April 2018 did they bother to pull the cover off of the water meter in the ground to see what is actually causing the sidewalk to raise?

Really? It's that easy? Has anyone seen Cory Drive and the sidewalks that line it? The sidewalks can not be used safely by vision impaired people or anyone in a wheelchair or kids small bikes / toys. My vision impaired friend wanted to visit me, but can't use Cory because of the sidewalks. He can't use Whitman because of the residents who park across the sidewalk and the street is too dangerous. Some residents like to leave space in their driveway, so they often park across the sidewalk and jut out into the narrow street.

Is there any updates as to the repair needed for the sidewalk? This has been since April of this year, when it rains the water sits in a puddle which is going to be a hazard as the weather gets colder! This is still a tripping hazard with the wedge! Thank you

Can you please confirm the date that repair will be made? A woman came out two weeks ago and said that repair would be done last Wednesday 4/10/19 No repair has been made at this time, Thank you
