Description

The billboard on top of this building at 5301 Claremont is in violation of several billboard ordinances. It’s in a residential area and the signs reflects light into our second story apartment windows directly across the street. I attached a daytime photo. I can forward a night photo. I read through the Oakland Billboard ordinances and this seems break several. It’s obnoxiously bright and unnecessary as it’s impossible to see from the highway and causes undue distraction at an already dangerous intersection and crosswalk when driving east on Claremont at night. The light is so intense it illuminates our bedroom from dusk till dawn. The billboard is managed by clear channel #001677. Please remove this blight.
