We live on that lagoon and saw a whole family of people fishing the lagoon today, from one end to the other. They had coolers and tackle boxes. One was right behind our house. They were showing each other what all they had caught. I’m sure they are clueless about size limits on the different fish. And they leave fishing line , hooks, etc for our wildlife to get tangled up in. Like the bobber on the alligator. We frequently see gutted fish just floating in the lagoon. These “wannabe fisherman” out here have no clue about fishing etiquette
