I could not agree. The vendor is making a lot of money on these malfunctioning lights- at a recent meeting I learned they are about $150k. Quite the nice for someone or several someones as they have a finite. But what about the warranty and the fact that many have never worked properly? As I have stated before we’ve created at least two generations of motorists who don’t care about the lights - if they disregard more serious laws I’m pretty confident they don’t care about running a light. It’s become an entitlement, one of an endless list in the city. The mayor calls them “services”. I have another name for them. So let’s build some more islands in the median and streets that do not align from one side of the intersection to the other. Of course nothing will be done and magically everything will work perfectly once bike lanes are installed throughout the city. Talk about red light runners 🙄
