Description
For the last couple of weeks, light malfunctions for traffic traveling on Gateway Dr to Interurban Ave S. Light never changes to green and cars are heavily backed up onto Gateway, most making U-turns to get out. Happens mainly at end of day around 5pm. Sat for 15 minutes with no light change and no way to get out of backup.

Your request regarding a traffic signal/traffic sign has been closed. On 07/1, signal tech found intermittent detection, put westbound on recall and monitored. On 07/12, he checked the cabinet wiring connections. Relocated westbound detection on detector rack in case of a bad connection. Tested and re-spliced westbound loops, monitored intersection. On 08/01, abandoned westbound loop, installed video detection to correct the problem.
