A) Chair is not "dumped" on green belt. It was placed carefully in the paved section (not grass) by me only last Saturday, July 11th and taken in for rain events.
B) Correct address is NOT "38 Crombie Street". It's #36.
C) It is recommended that Code Enforcement ignore requests with irresponsible language like: "No one wants your ugly chair." Unless this complainer has personally interviewed everyone, they cannot portend to speak for everyone. "Ugly" is subjective, revealing the heightened emotion behind the complaint rather than objective facts.
Had this complainer cared to look into the facts, they would know that our intent was to leave it out for a week in hopes of finding a new home. After that, it goes.
We intend to stick to our original plan. The complainer has wasted city resources on this issue.
A) Please describe to me the difference between this post and your post from January 20, 2013.
B) My apologies on the wrong address.
C) I would like to offer a sincere, not portend, apology to the chair. You are correct that I did not think about how my comment would effect its feelings. Please let it know that I think it is a lovely shade of green and is excellent at making bottoms more comfortable.
Citing comments from 5.5 years ago? Something tells me you aren't genuinely interested in knowing the difference between "decent condition" and "ugly". If you are, perhaps your time is better spent searching for psychologists.
Nonetheless, thanks for your comment. The value it added to this issue was immeasurable (meaning, it seriously can't be measured).
The chair is no longer out front. As a city official I appreciate that some people have consideration of my time. I prefer if people would not leave things on the greenbelt for more than 12 hours (taking it in each night if it is not taken by someone). If you are interested in having someone take something putting a free sign on it really helps (especially when its looks may be mistaken as trash to some) We all are human and with that comes responsibility of learning how to be a good neighbor, we need each other, let us be respectful and responsible. I hope that you all go see the new documentary about Mr. Rogers, Won't you be my Neighbor. There is so much value in the movie and his message. See you around the neighborhood. -Kim
