A curb bump-out would be a much better solution than either a speed bump or traffic light. Narrowing the street would make it safer for pedestrians to cross and reduce vehicular speeds. A win-win.

the last thing we need at that intersection during morning rush hour is a light or a speed bump. I like the bump out idea, but generally you have two lanes there, one that makes a right and one that goes "straight" down the hill or makes a left. Perhaps some clear defining of lanes and law enforcement writing some tickets to the trucks\business.

Most of the time Drivers speed up past crosswalk. There are two lanes forming on New York avenue and there’s cars coming from many directions in this small intersection. If there are trucks doing deliveries to supremo you are definitely in a blind spot for drivers.

And it continues it's like life and death crossing the street here.
