I cross that intersection as a pedestrian several times daily. I have never seen unusual timing changes outside of rush hour periods (which were expected). I would be happy to keep an eye on this to either confirm or deny. What IS troubling is the speed of drivers barreling down Fernwood toward Mitchell-Scarlett now that school is out. Please put those speed monitors back out again as there are many "jerks" who have no regard for this neighborhood tranquility.

Agreed, the speed monitors did actually slow down traffic when they were up. I had hoped they were going to be permanent on La Salle but then they went to Fernwood then they disappeared. Some gnarly speed bumps for both streets would be appreciated.

And yes, traffic light timing / coordination seems poor in Ann Arbor as a whole. I have been stopped on Packard at Fernwood or Turnberry many times and watched zero cars pass from the cross street.

I confirm that the traffic controls at Packard/Fernwood appear to be strictly timer mode.
