Description

The many years of construction activity near 51st and Broadway has resulted in a constant flow of heavy construction vehicles using 49th street to bring materials to and from the construction sites. As a result, our streets are destroyed. The contractors repaved the parts of the streets immediately surrounding their new buildings, but have left the streets absolutely destroyed for those of us in the neighborhood who have had to endure the construction traffic, noise, severely impacted parking and now dessimated streets. We have had many flat tires, a lot of damage from debris and destroyed suspension and alignment systems on our vehicles. Not only are we not happy, but I can imagine the new residents of these buildings will not be happy as they have to use these same streets to access their new homes. I have listed my street only, but it is really the entire area and all of 49th Street that have been impacted. I would appreciate a response.
