I live nearby on Leonard St. My water pressure completely disappeared for a few minutes this morning (around 10:30 am), and then came back (though perhaps not quite as strong as usual). Not sure it’s related.

Same thing happened on Whipple St!

I have had rusty water all day. I just came home from work and it still is rusty and disgusting!!!!

Well, is anything getting done about this? People have to shower and do laundry. Now I have to go buy water, because I am not putting brown, crappy water in my coffee pot.

The Water department has placed correlators to collect any information of a possible leak. These recorders will activate during off peak demand water usage hours and should lead us to this water loss issue by morning.

The water stopped yesterday but is back again, although it is just a trickle.

Recent hydrant flushing by MFD and a service line repair on the water main on Main Street has caused loss of pressures and discoloration throughout the neighborhood especially the higher elavations. With the hydrants closed and the leak repaired the water system will recharge and return to normal velocities and aesthetics . The trickle in the curb-line has been tested for the presence of drinking water, the test show that it is stormwater runoff and not drinking water. After investigating area and collecting data our department found no existing leaks

There is no drinking water leak problem.
The presence of water in the gutter is from runoff (BM)
