It's been 12 days, no action on this sidewalk obstruction. Here's a photo of what it looks like on August 7th.

This is on Ashe Avenue, Raleigh, three blocks south of Hillsborough, where Ashe Avenue crosses the railroad. Pullen Park and the Governor Morehead School are just to the south.

The railroad had sprayed all the kudzu along the bridge.

You are not seeing the situation correctly. Take a look at the photo I added on the 8th. You will see that the kudzu is in fact dying due to being sprayed but the problem is that most of the growth is NOT KUDZU. The NOT KUDZU growth seems immune to whatever spray the railroad used. Therefore they need to get out there and actually use a hedge trimmer to cut away the growth, or use some different spray that will kill the other species that is taking over the sidewalk space.

As of August 25, it's been four weeks since I reported this problem and no one has fixed it. The bushes, unaffected by whatever spray the railroad people might have used, are growing closer and closer to blocking the whole sidewalk. So far, whoever should be maintaining the cutting the bushes has taken no action. This still needs a visit from shrub-cutting staff members.

The City's Code Enforcement Division is managing this complaint. We have asked them to take another look.
