We live in a great neighborhood; unfortunately our main streets, Pegasus and Midtowne, have become a main cut through and even a drag strip at times. We have several young children, runners and bikers that use our streets and sidewalks. Its a great place to be out and about and we should be able to enjoy our neighborhood without the worry of speeders. We seriously need speed bumps on both streets before someone on a bike or a young child gets hit. We personally have been able to witness speeders on both streets. We need to get the word out for this and get the votes in so this problem can be looked at. Please vote and comment.

I live off Pegasus and it's terrible. My people speeding are just using the neighborhood as a short cut. On many occasions I see drivers going around the traffic circle opposing traffic, and plenty of times drivers entering the circle refuse to yield. Hitting speed bumps before entering the traffic circle would help with that.

I mean most people.

We absolutely need speed bumps on Midtowne lane and Pegasus Drive. It is too dangerous to have cars driving through the neighborhood at 50 mph, specially at night. Drivers are using our subdivision as a shortcut to bypass Explorer Blvd. Please, we need the City to be fully aware and to do something about it, before someone get injured !!!

I completely agree. Our neighborhood has become a fast cut-thru for people that don't live in our neighborhood. I too have witnessed multipe near-head on collisions by drivers entering the traffic circle in the wrong direction or using the traffic circle to pass a slower vehicle. Screaching tire sounds and dangerous streets are unacceptable and MidTowne homeowner should not have to deal with these types of issues. Something needs to be done before someone (or their pet) is seriously injured and it's too late.

Multiple drivers use these residential roads as a short cut from 72 to Research Park - with no regard to the pedestrians, cyclists, children, parked cars or residents. Speed bumps would create enough of a delay to reduce the speed to the posted limit of 35, and to keep our neighborhood safe. I live on the traffic circle, and I no doubt that one of these speeders will ultimately come off of the road and into my yard or even my living room. Let's take the simple measure of installing speed bumps on the two roads where traffic is exceedingly fast.

It is definitely an issue for Midtowne and Pegasus. The people who live in the neighborhood are more conscious of speeds because they know the people who live here. The speeders are cutting through.

Let's get this taken care of before someone gets hurt! 4 speed bumps - 2 on each of the long stretches of road.

I about got hit this afternoon getting out of my truck by a speeding vehicle unloading in front on my house..we need speed bumps..help us WAFF 48!!!!!!!

This request was reported to Traffic Engineering with the City of Huntsville. It would be most helpful to either contact TE directly @ 256-427-6850 so they can forward a questionnaire via mail or you can download the traffic study form from their website @ http://www.huntsvilleal.gov/engineering/TrafficEng/. This allows them to keep a record of the complaint and provide them with more information on what citizens are experiencing.
