  Please call APD Dispatch to report parking violations @ 510-337-8340. APD can enforce violations of the California Vehicle Code if the vehicles are parked on public/city property.

  Since this is not public/city property, what can neighbors do ? It appears Tim Lewis Home, current owners of the Delmonte Building , do not want these vehicles parked in this area but are not there at odd hours of the night, or day for that matter, to call the police. And so the problem continues with noise and smell in a residential neighborhood. Please advise.

  Tim Lewis Communities can designate a person to be a reporting party for a violation of 8-7.7AMC - Parked on Private Property. We can issue a citation for ONLY that violation given what you’ve reported. The oversized vehicle AMC does not apply. We WILL NOT tow from private property. You need to work with the developer or your HOA to come up with a resolution as private property is exempt from the vast majority of vehicle and municipal code violations. Unfortunately the rush to develop land overlooks these nuisances and they are exclusively civil by the time everyone has moved in. The police cannot, and in today’s world of police scrutiny, will not make exceptions to these circumstances. Take this up with the developer for a better solution. Alameda parking citations are not going to solve anything in the grand scheme s d the developer may be reluctant to provide the police with contact information and be the sole contact for every parking violation on private property. This is a very common issue in Alameda and hardly any HOAs are willing to go through red tape to satisfy the residents. Good luck.

  To clarify, this is not on already developed property, so there is no HOA. This is on the corner of Entrance Rd and the pseudo-street that will be the Clement extension.
