Description

Most sidewalks in my area are concrete and seem to be holding up well but about 40 feet of my sidewalk on the Dean St side and 5 feet around the corner by the stop sign on Bank St is asphalt and breaking up from cars and trucks pulling up on the sidewalk (before a no-parking sign was recently installed) and from frost heaves and is very uneven and dangerous. Pedestrians walk out in the street to avoid it. My wife and I are senior citizens and have lived here 15 years but its gotten worse each year. Over the past year she's recently had several strokes and is supposed to do daily walks but cannot safely use the sidewalk to get around our property. Also our house foundation directly abuts the sidewalk and the cracked asphalt allows water to seep into the cellar during heavy rains when water overflows the low curb on that corner. Can you repair or replace it with concrete or cement?
