Maybe you could try talking to the person responsible for this rather than blowing up everyone's mailbox with your complaints.

The owner also owns an unmaintained lot at the corner of 26th & Marshall. Another example of not being a great neighbor. As far as the comment about approaching him in conversation prior to reporting the issue. If someone is doing something outside of City requirements why not address it through the appropriate channels. Thank to whomever reported & hopefully the owner's political connects won't allow him to be treated differently!
