Beschreibung

The red light at Penrose and 26th St. for drivers coming over the Platt Bridge and turning left onto 26th (which in turn connects to the Schuylkill Expressway) is longer than it used to be. This has been creating a back-up on the Platt Bridge coming into the city for about the past month. The longer red light is unnecessary because traffic is light coming the other way on Penrose Ave.

I called Penndot and they said to call the city of Philadelphia's transportation dept. at (215) 225-1415. I called them and they said they do not deal with traffic lights. I'm kind of stuck right now...any advice?

The Platt Bridge back up problem is also caused by people who know that if you stay in the right most lanes you can cut across to the left turn lanes and not have to wait on the bridge. The problem is that the people on the bridge in the left lane have to wait for the people that cut over from the right lane. It's one big cluster f**k.
