Description
This is the alley just south of Central behind Poor boys auto. It is overgrown with trees and weeds, has huge piles of trash and dirt bags someone dumped there, and is a haven for drugged up and drunk transients because of the way all this stuff hides them.
The dirt alley also needs regrading so it is safe to drive thru. Currently it is too hazardous.
Please clean up this so the people living neighborhood can resume using it.
Thanks

I realize the city has more important things to do like lean on shovels while pretending to work, drive around following each other slowly and etc, but maybe the police could start patrolling the area more often. We just had that double stabbing last week, the johns use our street as a drop off and pick up zone for the city's "finest and oldest profession", and the drug dealers 5 minute customers still park up the street..
We need several sting operations for this stuff, not baited and abandoned backpacks downtown.
thanks

You've have from "311" what's probably the only thing of value that they can give you, a reference number.
If you want to get anything done about this issue, you'll make a complete pest of yourself. Start a broadcast email to every City Department that's appropriate. Be patient and persistent. Get some neighbors to help doing the same. You'll all be where you are for a lot longer than they'll be in office. The only way this community will ever cause this City & the courts to discontinue using your n'hood as it's minimum security prison is by organizing and voting.
Contact your n'hood assoc. for help, "Joannne Landry"
If they're no help, start you own n'hood assoc. It's easy. Go to http://www.cabq.gov/planning/nbrcoord/
Send your complaints to:
SE APD Command:
"Commander Murray Conrad -SE APD" ,
Mayor's Community Liason:
"Madrid, Tito" ,
Zoning Enforcement:
"Conrad, Matt A." ,
Go here for the rest of of the list:
http://www.cabq.gov/department-listing/department-listing
See the organizational chart there as well.
Good luck

Update: Per Zoning and Code Enforcement, the area was reinspected and violations were noted. The case has been reopened and will follow the legal course of action to address the issues. Planning is required by the Code to allow the owners 30 days to comply once the owners have been notified.

Ask him how you should approach this. It's Solid Waste who will ultimately have to clean this up.

Amazing what a little media focus will accomplish. The alley is now cleaned of trash and overgrown trees. No more sleeping, hiding spots for the transients in the area.
I'm closing the issue.
