I think it's silly to close this issue. I have friends that feel unsafe at this park, as do I. I can count fifteen occasions that I, too have walked my dog at this park and weird events were taking place. About a month ago, the last time I ever went to this park, the moment I parked my car, four other cars had parked near mine. Each car housing maybe 4-5 teenagers, all sitting waiting for me to leave. A group of 4 men, all dressed in like colors approaching each vehicle. I got right back into my car and drove away. I refuse to go the park anymore and so do most of my friends...SOME are even male. I don't think women are the only ones who are made uncomfortable about shady conduct. I think the person who originally opened up this incident just wanted a simple answer, yes or no...is this park under any surveillance? I'm done visiting the park until someone starts paying close attention. What a shame, because it's a great place to take my dog.

It is a nice park, a good place to get some fresh air. The downside is that it is out of the way, out of the public eye. It would be easy for people to do whatever they want, illegal there, without much fear of being caught.

no ... the cops only patrol the parks 9-5 monday thru friday. of course its patrolled!!! and, at any given time, i have seen many people just walking around and enjoying the views that the park has to offer. sorry if this seems like a one time deal.

i know for a fact that hasbrouck park is the park to go to if you want to smoke weed, drink or do any other type of drugs and not get caught. it has been that way for years, i used to do it when i was in high school which was 9+ years ago and i know it still goes on by talk of people. cops RARELY go through there to see what is going on. they need to go through there on a regular basis to get it to be a safe park to go to because it is a nice park that should be used in the appropriate way

Yes, it always has been the park to go to to drink a beer or two under the pavillion or smoke some week always has been for years, don't think it will ever change. It's a shame because it is breaking the law but it's always been allowed ever since I was a teenage and I'm in my 40's now.

last time i went to hasbrouck part i counted 18 empty "nickel bags" some had a trace of a white substance
heres an idea for the police
have the dogs setup at bottom of the hill doing a normal road block then have a patrol car drive up the hill
if the dogs hit on the car search it
do this for a week at different times of the day and night

I don't get it? Two cars parked in an out of the way place? What's scary about that? A man opened his car doors and turned his music up? That might be terrifying to me if the music was Justin Beiber! Oh, no, watching kids play baseball? Imagine how uncomfortable you'd feel at a Little League game. Now that I'm done being facetious, do you pooper scoop? And, yes, the park is patrolled as time permits. Did you report any of this to KPD?

hasbrouck park is not patrolled,maintained or anyhing else.The city is too busy pouring money into forsythe and doing nothing for the other parks.

general lee froggy it should be foggy, in this world today cars parked , smoking and then 2 of them who knows what is going on... many kids go missing at these parks, and many a drug deal goes on... what age are you living in... light bulb, wake up... best thing to do in any circumstance is start to walk away and call 911 and have them come out to check out... could save a childs life or many with drugs being sold..... plus let them get some jail time if caught .... we are a free country, but this free come on... everything you see is not rose colored
