It is now Saturday, August 18th, and the car is still parked there.

I have seen the owner of this car. He parks illegally (in front of the mailbox) and comes from the Foster Creek apartments. He suffers no consequences and does not care if the mail is not delivered. Unless this car is towed and he is inconvenienced this behavior is bound to continue as he views the space in front of the mailbox as his personal, secret, parking space.

This is day three ? The car is still there. Due to this, two of my mail packages have not been delivered due to a "blocked receptacle". This is because this car is parked in front of this mailbox. One item was perishable and now will be worthless when I get it (medication). Can't the city paint the curb red here and put up some no parking signs for the mailbox? This same car does this often and he is depriving everyone in this neighborhood from getting their mail. Isn't that illegal? Help.

It is 6am on Sunday. This is at least the 3rd day (car showed up Thursday). Will it be here all next week?

Thank you. I just looked (9:40a) and the car is still there. This is not the first time he has parked in front of the mailbox but it is the longest. Unless he experiences consequences he will continue this behavior.

Why don't you apply the pressure and break a car window. Pop a tire!

Tukwila Police have now been assigned this situation. We are letting them handle this. They will handle it.

It is now 11:00a, the car is still there.

And it's almost mail time. Another day of not getting mail? That is not right and they know it.The same happens at my apartment building, but the mailboxes are on private property, so the law can't(or won't) do anything.

The process has been started to get this car towed. Hopefully that will happen before it’s time for the mailman to come.
The process can be accelerated by calling the police non-emergency number. That will move it higher up the queue.
Or you can also email the police department directly at police@tukwilawa.gov
Police non-emergency number is: ‭1 (253) 852-2121‬ (this number serves Tukwila, Kent, Renton, and Auburn).
Once two or more people report the same issue, there is usually some action that follows pretty soon.

The car was ticketed at 12:15p on Monday, August 21, 2018. We are now at 24 hours since ticketing and it is still there. Someone has now "decorated" the windshield with taco sauce. I guess we will just monitor the situation. The Post Office did not deliver mail again. No mail service on Friday, Saturday or Monday. I am guessing we will go a full week without service. Seems like the clock for the 72 hours should start from the time the Post Office put the slip on the windshield citing the RCW about the violation of parking in front of mailboxes.

Yay! 5:00p on Tuesday and he has moved the car!!!
