I work in San Francisco and see homeless encampments everyday, I’ve seen some pretty nasty stuff but I don’t recall ever seeing someone leaking bodily fluids in trail form from them down the sidewalk.
Is he just lying there urinating on the ground and it’s running down the sidewalk? He must be soaked in urine as well as his bedding.

I work in San Francisco too and my heart goes out to these people. More support needs to be provided. This guy actually throws trash at cars. The street is filthy and his bodily waste on the street is a hazard to others!

Excuse me, but has there not already been a case opened (multiple times) for this issue? And this is a cleanup issue now, assuming he has been removed or left of his own volition.

This has been going on for years, yet he is still here, please find a permanent remedy for this problem.
In what sane society is this considered acceptable?

Any thoughts on removing the bus stop before the man dies of exposure or natural causes?

The taxpayers demand action

As of this afternoon the homeless camper is gone along with his bedding and shopping cart.
After all this time a camping prohibited sign was just installed above the bench.
People were waiting for the bus when I drove by
I hope the man is in a shelter or being helped and that with the posted no camping sign VPD can more easily enforce the law.
There is no excuse for taking so long to install a sign.
Hopefully this issue can be closed.
Also a explanation of what happened here with the major delay over 1 mans eviction would be nice.

Thank you COV for finally removing this man and posting a sign. Hopefully this will be a permanent solution and this does not happen again. Not just VPD and the city, but we must keep an eye on this area and report immediately if he comes back.

Who’s going to enforce what the sign says? “No camping, or storage of personal property, attended or unattended” is posted all over the waterfront and surrounding area, yet people are living in their cars, in the bushes, at the library and the abandoned Post Office.

We need a no tolerance policy for the homeless that cause blight etc. otherwise the problem will get worse like San Francisco.

Has anyone seen him? Is he gone? Is he camping somewhere else nearby?

COV has not closed this issue for some reason
A no camping sign was installed about the bench and the area looks like it was power washed.
Something was done finally but no statement has been issued about any actions taken.
Hopefully this person excepted help or was committed or jailed because he had no right to impose himself on bus riders trash the area at taxpayers expense and create his own bio hazard bus stop toilet.
