Theres a sinkhole that has already formed in the middle of the street directly in front of my property. I am concerned that the oncoming winter season might further erode the sinkhole into something more dangerous. Please check it out. Thank you!

OAK 311 has received this issue. Your service request ID is #835427. Thank you, in advance, for your patience as we work through a backlog of pothole service requests. Unfortunately the City does not have enough funding to repave all streets in poor condition. With limited funding, our response to resurfacing requests is limited to minor pavement and pothole repairs only. Our Street Maintenance Department will assess your street and determine whether temporary measures might be appropriate. Please understand that this work may be limited to pothole or other minor repairs, and that we have many similar requests. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner. The backlog of streets in Oakland needing pavement currently is $435 million and growing.

Please keep a eye on this. The PWD make work road crews do not have a very good track record for pot holes and sink holes. Sinkholes require that the area be dug up to access what caused the hole then fix that issue and then backfill the hole with non compacting road base and repave with hot asphalt not the bagged cold patch they have been using. I am guessing you will be re-reporting this issue.
