Description
I am a resident of one of the town homes on Nicholas Road in Framingham. 78A-B. We live across from an apartment complex. There is ample parking in the complex. They consistently park on the street in front of our homes. We have asked them to not park there but they will not listen. They block our view to get out. Our mailman won’t deliver to us. We have problems getting our trash picked up because they block our spots to put it. With their apartment comes plenty of parking. This is getting to be absurd. We need help because we are not sure what to do.

I too live in the neighborhood at the end of Nicholas, and these cars restrict traffic on that road, making it dangerous driving by. You cannot see people pulling out of the parking lots. there is a close call with accidents weekly.
I support the above issue mentioned and wish it would be taken care of.

I too live at 78A-B Nicholas Rd. As residents, we occasionally need to park on the street in order to accommodate the different schedules of those living in our home. Alternatively, when we have guests over, we ask that they utilize the street parking and stay close to the curb and be courteous to the surrounding driveways/mailboxes. However, due to the parking habits of our neighbors across the street, it is often difficult to even park in front of our own home because they either park crooked/angled, street parking in front of our house is full or there are odd gaps left between the cars when another car could fit if the ones already there parked properly.
Recently, we have even seen a School Bus van and full size FEDEX truck in front of our house overnight. We ask that should anything be done in terms of ticketing/violations, it be noted which cars belong to the town homes they are in front of and that those vehicles are continued to be allowed to park there, provided they are parked in a way that is unobstructive to others. Residents of the town homes know better than to park where the mail delivery/trash pickup would be obstructed... we’d like to continue receiving our mail and having our trash removed but those that continually obstruct both of these things have caused us to receive notification that should it continue, these services may stop.
Thank you.

One suggestions is putting your trash containers at the end of the driveway, as close as you can without blocking your own entrance. If they are too far off to the side DPW may not pickup
As far as the postal carrier, you should also contact the post office. There is no reason they cannot deliver the mail.
We will let the midnight shift officers know to check the area as well for any violations
