I wish I could say that the town of West Hartford has taken action to mitigate this dangerous situation. Sadly, I must report that nothing has been done!
Another auto accident last week at the Park Rd, Ringgold St. intersection. Is the town ignorant of this situation or does it not care? We expect more from the town of West Hartford!
At long last, it seems fair to speculate that the Town of West Hartford will not remedy this awful situation owing to the influence of a "special interest" in the area.
One wonders how the Traffic Division of the West Hartford Police Department occupies itself? To my knowledge, it has never monitored this dangerous situation.
Describe the problem in detail and suggest a course of action. Apparently you have a front-row seat to this situation, so you probably have the most insight on how to remedy it.
My Thanks to CM for your interest. The problem, as outlined above, can only be controlled, not eliminated. Webster Bank could not open this branch in this location under current W. H legislation because it does not meet town requirements. However, the dangerous periods can be determined and controlled by the assistance of a traffic professional to manage the problems that arise repeatedly during the week. If you have further suggestions, I wish to hear them.
Well, the "watchers" are watching but taking no action. It would seem that those with the power to ameliorate this serious situation will not act until the occurrence of an inevitable and sad outcome.
This is "Thanksgiving" week. It will be a busy and dangerous week on Ringgold Street. The potential for serious accidents will be high. When attempting to do your drive-up business, please exercise extreme caution.
December is a high traffic month on Ringgold Street. The traffic dangers persist. Be aware of the danger and exercise caution when traveling on Ringgold Street and its intersection with Park Road.
