I live nearby and have been working on this issue for some time. I would like to know who reported this as I can help and am adamant about getting this stopped.
This issue has been reported to zoning multiple times, and to be fair, zoning did take some action already, but the resident is simply now hiding and covering his tracks. I assume zoning has their hands tied at this point.
The "homeless" individual who "lives" in the trailer is Dan Parker. He is a neighborhood nuisance. He is suspected of burglaries and other crime in the neighborhood. He is WELL KNOWN to go around scoping out houses. He has a rap sheet a mile long. He is a convicted felon. His record is publicly available online. His parents own the property but won't let him live in their house because he has a violent history WITH HIS OWN PARENTS! They harbor enough pity to allow him to live in the trailer because otherwise, he would freeze on the street or wind up in jail where he belongs as it stands.
Now, he has this otherwise homeless girlfriend tagging along with him. They have been observed with walkie talkies scoping out houses. The both of them associate with the transient homeless crowd that hangs out around the WalMart area behind the strip mall and hang out on the grounds of the office building.
In order to resolve this issue, someone nearby needs to step up and provide proof of the activity and circumstances at this property in the form of photos and/or video. I have tried to do so myself, but i do not live within sight of this and can only spend so much time on it. However I have knowledge and equipment to help with this if someone will step up. I have tried to encourage neighbors nearby this property to do so multiple times in the recent past. Everyone likes to complain and wonder why nothing is done. We live in Albuquerque. YOU must do it yourself! Only the squeaky wheel gets the grease, ESPECIALLY here in Albuquerque.
We need EVIDENCE, and then we need to USE the evidence to pressure the city to enforce the rules more effectively.
So, as I said initially, I have been on this case as you now see. I assume whoever posted this may already know me, but if not, please contact me at mgionf@aol.com.
