Almost 24 hours later, still there, no movement, nothing done.

Maybe the cops don't work on holidays, let alone regular work days. I know the exact place you're talking about. I live just up the hill and see it all the time. The owners of the vehicles obviously don't know how to read or speak english. Must be pretty stupid or foreign.
