  This camp has been in place since Feb 2018. As such, it’s a glaring example of how the city of Berkeley’s policies and procedures towards helping the homeless out of their plight are ineffective.

  The encampment is still there, now edging on 10 months. How can this report be closed if the encampment is still present? By what criteria can it be considered resolved and thus closed? Has the city intrviewed the campers, decided that counter to municipal law that the encampment is legal, and given them a permit to camp there indefinitely? I can’t believe that’s the case, and have to conclude that “closed” means “chose to ignore.”
