Work was not completed work didn't even start sidewalks are still cracked and curves are still missing. Public Works stop by and did a temporary fix on a small very small piece of sidewalk by adding the temporary tiny rock/grout substance they duseo in the street as a temporary fix that easily disappears.

A temporary fix will not resolve the issues. Perhaps if you were in a wheelchair you'd understand better. Sidewalks are cracked and uneven definitely a safety hazard. My neighbor sometimes puts out an orange cone to warn those ahead of time so that they can turn on driveways and detour.

We got sidewalks fixed and repaired on Sylvan Ave by filing complaint with the A.D.A.

Just so you are aware. Public Works alleviates the immediate condition usually with a temporary patch or grinding solution. Engineering follows up with laying new sidewalk or more complicated repairs. Thanks

Why don't you walk yourself or get on the phone and call whoever can fix this..go the extra 3 ft to help the cmnty. not just playing the blame game. In my mind we are all working for the same TEAM so why cant we all ACT LIKE REAL grownups and help THE TEAM! Be a hero...don't me a Rebecca Bombero - do a good thing.

So to the Department of Public Works when you see that your job or the work you went out to fix is in poor deteriorating condition and should be referred to engineering you don't make that call ie. Send an email to the engineering department, don't you both work for the City of New Haven? And if your telling me that this goes to the engineering department could you atleast provide me with their number maybe even provide a contact.

We use See Click Fix as work order system. Once we inspect we forward it to other departments that need to see it. We also do that with issues that concern State. Since your issue had been reopened, just wanted to explain the process. Thanks

Case was reopened and still no positive response or feed back. Patch up that was done did not correct issue or help at all, still a trip and fall issue exsist, lawsuit waiting to happen...

STILL NOT RESOLVED...WHILE OTHER AREAS WITH A LOT LESS PEDESTRAINS ARE GETTING BEAUTIFIED....

Reinspected. Previous work completed under road closure project. Concerns for continuation repairs of Foxon has been forwarded to the Resource Allocation Committee for review.

The issue with sidewalks and curbs has only continued to worsen with now numerous potholes from the beginning of Essex through Foxon Street.. City of New Haven Engineers really need to come out and assess the issues at a safety level!
