I would like the road to swerve into as a new left lane rather then get cut off as a right turn only lane. That’s where the bottlenecking occurs. People realize the lane is a right turn only lane and cuts people off. The road should swerve and continue with an addition to the left lane. Contact me directly if still unclear.

I've complained about this too as it is extremely dangerous and only gets worse when drivers who aren't familiar with the area suddenly realize they need to change lanes. Why does FDOT not care. It can be fixed by just simply restriping the lanes so that people in the right lane can stay in the right lane to travel straight. Instead it is extremely dangerous with the current bottlenecking into the left lane. PLEASE FIX before someone gets hurt or worse!

The Traffic Engineering has conducted a site visit. This intersection is functioning as designed. If drivers do not follow the signage and striping, there can be issues with the right turn lane. At this time there will be no change or improve to the intersection and approach, including affecting Interstate on/off ramps. Engineering & Capital Improvements Department

I disagree. The design is a failure. It needs to be changed to allow drivers to maintain in their lanes rather than cutting people off to get into the straight lanes. I see room for improvement. I can draw you a better design that will create a much better traffic flow. I’m challenging the current design failure.
