It does appear that the issue was looked at. Today, 9/6/18, the 4:55 was timely. Hopefully other Islanders will step up and speak out if the issue persists.
My own experience has been that the line is missing buses approximately every other day, so I will certainly call it in if I see the very long delays occurring again.

And today, 9/7/18, there does not appear to be a SIM1 coming any time soon.

The SIM1 service has been remarkably better and I would say what I complained about is not happening or happening infrequently. We can always do better, but it is my current opinion that the frequency has increased to a manageable level.

This is the response from the MTA. Traffic congestion due to construction work has delayed service in the Worth St-Chambers Street Segment of Broadway which causes delays and overcrowding On October 7, schedule adjustments to the SIM 1 with trips leaving Broadway /Chambers Street at 4:50 , 4:54, 4:58, 5:02, 5:06, 5: 10, and 5:14. ( adding two extra trips for a bus schedule every 4 minutes. Service is being monitored daily. Closed
