Description

We had Virginia Natural Gas install gas lines on our property last week. They had to open the residential sewage access and run a snake through it to ensure they would not hit the pipe. They informed me that the pipe was the worst they have ever seen. They wanted to know why it was filled with mud and clay. I informed them that our neighbor has been pumping ditch water into the sewage system for years. We have asked them to stop. All of the surrounding neighbors have aske them to stop. We have been calling the city for years about it. The city inspectors have been out several times and requested them to stop.

The last inspector who I saw on site was Tom Knoepfel on 27 Aug 2018. He ensured me that the pumps would be removed. They have not been removed! Instead of pumping all the pumps into the sewer line, they now have one pump running to the sewer and 3 pumps pumping to the woods behind their house. This has now turned everyone’s yard into an ankle deep swamp.

City of Virginia Beach, we beg you to please help us! This one resident is causing so much harm to our community. They are destroying our residential sewage. No one at the city level seems to have the power to address this.

PLEASE HELP US!!!!!!
