Does Solid Waste Services also address this business blocking half the sidewalk with their trash receptacles? Do they also address the placement of the receptacles so close to the curb that downtown parking is impeded?

On Harget st near the popular Morning Times its awful as well, but Blount St also is gross garbage "cans" .. needs to be a better soution! I don't wanna pass stenchy garbage on my way any where!

I noticed the trash cans have been moved single file up against the building. However there are still 11 garbage cans on the sidewalk, most covered with stinking dry garbage residue. I thought there is a law that requires keeping trash cans off the street except on pickup day. This business is still using the public sidewalk as its "12 trash can storage area" and it still stinks of filth. Can they be required to clean the spilled garbage off the sidewalk and street and trash cans??

This complaint was investigated today. We have spoken with the owners and have been assured that they will remove the containers from the curb. The rule downtown is that containers must be off the curb by 9:30am the day after collection. We will continue to monitor the situation and inform owners that containers should also be cleaned on a regular basis. We have reported the above information to Solid Waste Services for them to follow-up on. Thanks for reporting!
