For the past several days there has been excessive flooding during high tide on the east side of Overlook Drive where it intersects with Arizona (zip code 33703), as well as in the usual places along Connecticut. This occurs even on days when there hasn't been a heavy rain, as well as days with rain. I am beginning to suspect there is a blockage in the storm drain system that is causing the water to build up in this area. The next time it happens I will upload a photo.

Just to be clear, this flooding that is posted about here is not due to any rainfall whatsoever - flooding is solely due to the high tides and valves not working. Worse than before the valves were installed.
City should read posts on 9.11.18 nextdoor app discussing this very same problem - people are not happy (understatement). Yikes, I had no idea that the salt water can cause dry rot in the tires and then a damaging blowout. So,even if there is only, say 2 inches flooding the whole street, there can still be significant damage to the vehicle BTW, on the days reported, there was way more than 2 inches in the whole street.

It is very interesting how long it is taking to finish the Pier and so it is really no surprise how long it is taking to fix the flooding problem in Shore Acres or the repair of our main bridge. I have lived here for over 30 years and nothing has worked to fix these problems.
The Mayor's Action Center is not in Action either is the Stormwater Department
