Do these 'Emerald Borers' do this to other types of trees, or only Ashes? I have a private tree that seems to have similar symptoms but is not a Ash.

Any update on this?

call 518-434-CITY for all DGS issues not being taken care of via this method, which seems frequent.

I first called that number 3 weeks ago and again a week after that and was informed the issue was entered into their computer. I also sent emails with photos before posting the issue on this site and still no reply from any one including the forestry department

I heard at a meeting that the forestry division of DGS was down in staff, but positions have now been filled by the new Commissioner, SO MAYBE now some issues will be taken care of, so if you call again check to see if the forestry staff openings have been filled to confirm.

It’s very discouraging. I have done what I should to get this resolved. I’ve called, emailed, and posted the issue and feel it only falls on deaf ears.

Contact the new Commissioner directly. Next C H O T R is Tuesday 9/18 at Elks Lodge on N 1st St.
