One of the biggest eyesores in our community! And it's right next to the Fire Station! It was one thing when it was contained behind the fence, but now it's covering the sidewalk spilling into the street. They need some help ASAP.

The courts have been trying to help them. It only gets worse.

I've lived in this neighborhood for 55 years and, unfortunately I see this "eyesore" for lack of a better word, on a daily basis. This situation should have been handled a long time ago especially since MFD is right next door. I can only imagine what kind of vermin may have tried to infest the firehouse and the homes surrounding this DUMP! PLEASE...PLEASE...PLEASE make these people clean this sh*t up or the City of Memphis do it and charge the homeowner!!! Thanks...

The city is cleaning up all the junk on the sidewalk
in front of this house!

This is a continual mess. This is being used as a junkyard and it's next door to the fire station, so please don't tell me the city is unaware. Honestly, this is a rodent issue, a FIRE ISSUE, and a nuisance. The fact this has been going on for the past 2 years that I've lived in the neighborhood speaks volumes about how much the city DOESN'T care. So much for being "Brilliant at the basics"!

For what it’s worth, the city has been sending the heavy equipment EVERY WEEK for at least a month and a half just for this street. Technically they could go on their property and clean up the yard, too, but for as long as this house has been this way and failed to clean up after being in environmental court over and over it’s a definite improvement. They can’t arrest the people. They can only fine them and add a charge for the clean up to their property taxes...assuming they actually pay their property taxes. Now that the city is paying a crew-including a supervisor, 2 dump trucks AND the person driving the macine they use to pick the stuff up-they will charge them on their property taxes and if they don’t pay them they can lose their house. We have to wait til the end of the year for that, though. That’s the best remedy we can hope for. Hopefully all of our decent neighbors will be willing to wait that long before they decide to move. There are a few neighbors who have been working on this for a long time. We’re not going to stop so it WILL eventually get done.
