Description
For the past 6 hours (first heard it when I got home from work at 7pm and it’s now 1am), something has beeped very loudly every 60 seconds. I live on Linden Ave and it seems to be coming from somewhere near the YMCA. It sounds like the beeping when your fire alarm battery needs to be changed, but it is loud enough to be heard several streets over (inside with the windows open). I walked up the street but I could not find the source and I don’t know what to do. It’s very annoying.

It’s now 8:45am, and the beeping is still happening every 60 seconds. It’s very loud and annoying all night long, since all our window are open because we already took out the AC.
Should I call the police non-emergency line? I just want it to stop. I might start screaming if it’s still happening when I get home from work

It’s is now 10pm on 9/12/2018. The beeping has been happening every 60 seconds for at least 28 hours.
I’m begging someone, anyone, please help and make it stop

I called the police yesterday. They redirected me to the fire department who said they would “look into it.”
Nothing happened and it’s still beeping every 60 seconds.
I don’t know why the town is calling the YMCA if we’re not even completely sure it’s coming from there.
COULD SOMEONE PLEASE TAKE CARE OF THIS?? SOMEONE NEEDS TO COME TO LINDEN AVE, TAKE 60 SECONDS TO ACTUALLY LISTEN GONYHE SOUND AND THEN INVESTIGATE
It’s now been TWO NIGHTS of trying to sleep with a beep every 60 seconds. This is completely unfair to all neighbors and I don’t understand what Malden wont do anything.
I’m going to contact local news next. This is not okay.

Thank you very very much!

The alarm has begun to sound constantly and it has been traced back to the Malden Housing Authority Building at 120 Mountain Ave.
MHA has been notified and I am awaiting a response.
