A. Until the Q Line was installed, there was a light at the corner of Bethune and Woodward. It’s been gone for close to a year. Traffic at that intersection is now terrible, especially during times when people travel to work. It doesn’t help that more people are parking in the garage at Bethune and Second to take the Quicken buses downtown, and the apartments going into the building at Second will only add to the issue.

Here is the response provided by Ms. Georgina McDonald of MDOT:
"The traffic signal that was located at Woodward/Bethune was removed to accommodate the new traffic signals required for the operation of the Q-Line at Woodward/Custer and Woodward/Lothrop. Because of the close proximity of Bethune to Custer and Lothrop, a traffic signal at Bethune will not be considered at this time."
