Can someone point me to delivery regulations? It seems with future 2 way traffic on Broadway, deliveries will be a major problem. How will this be handled?

I'm with you on these delivery trucks/cars and crushing Broadway traffic. Even worse is that these double parking violations are not being enforced even when it's across from the Police Station every single day. This particular issue has given the CPD a black eye which I'm hoping Chief Keyes will one day address so we can trust them on this issue again. We really love a lot of what the CPD does for us, but enforcing traffic laws has become a non-issue for them. May be a good idea to have Chief Keyes do a roundtable with some of us residents so we don't feel like our traffic complaints are being ignored.

Police should enforce more the parking issue, double parking and blocking sidewalks and ramps

We will have ISD and the Police speak to the owner and manager to remind delivery drivers to park in the designated delivery space. We will also have Police be more vigilant of the area.

We have a parking department with many employees, they should handle this. The Police have more important things to worry about than a parking ticket.

Definetly not the place to have a debate but our Parking Enforcement people you see on the streets are from an outsourced company. They care about meeting quotas and are for profit, which means they will focus on areas and violations that will yield the most return on investment. For example, a double parked car has a low yield on a ticket due to that fact that they can quickly move on without time for Parking person to get a ticket. On the other hand, stationary parked cars with no occupants is where they will focus attention since they have a better chance of getting a ticket written out. In this system, we reduce the burden of the tax payers to pay for a whole parking team and pensions since they are outsourced, but at the same time it forces the CPD to pick up where Parking Enforcement won't go after. If CPD does not cover those gaps, it will cause gridlock which is what you see on Broadway on a daily basis.
