I know that metro Vancouver owns this park but the city of the New Westminster maintains this facility. Please uphold bylaw 7799 which states that replacement trees are supposed to be maintained for a period of 1year. 3 of the replacement have not survived and need to be replaced. Now is the perfect time to replace those trees. According to the bylaw they have 6 months to replace these but if planted later those trees most likely will not survive. I’m not sure exactly when that 6 months starts but these trees died in June.

This issue has been referred to the Tree Bylaw Department for review.
