Unfortunately we were unable to make this correction during this year's marking season, however it will remain on the work list for the Spring season. We will also take a look at how we can improve this biking connection across Eliot St. Please also know that improvements to Eliot St will also be coming with a public works resurfacing job early next year.

Thank you for following up again! And I appreciate that you will be looking to improve the biking connection across Eliot St. I usually come from Mt. Auburn, which doesn't have bike lanes, but is low-stress enough with the all-way stop at Eliot St. that it is not hard to cross.

I think the real difficult one (both on a bike, but also to try and improve) is the connection between the Brattle St. cycle track and Mount Auburn St. if you are going from west to east. Without vehicles stopping at Brattle St (but turning onto it across the contra-flow bike path), it is hard on a bike to get across traffic towards JFK St. A stop sign at Brattle Square for southbound traffic coming from Harvard Square would help pedestrians and cyclists alike in crossing the street there, but would also have potentially big negative impacts on traffic backing up into Harvard Square. I look forward to hearing the ideas for improving this area!
