Please call when you see all of these vehicles speeding. I checked our call logs, not one call from anyone on the street for traffic issues. We cannot enforce traffic complaints without seeing the issue happening. Traffic officers are stationed throughout the city, based upon calls for service for issues. We also have speed signs we are putting at locations based upon calls for service in our logs. Thank You.

hundreds of these vehicles are speeding in this neighborhood every day but people have given up calling police who have said "there's nothing they can do unless they catch them" on August 8th on channel 40 news. Police cruisers sitting in plain sight on streets and in parking lots will not see speeders! I challenge anyone to find neighborhood residents who don't think that speeding is an issue. In the past few weeks, I've been contacted by Channels 40 and 22 about this issue and maybe that's the only way to get the attention it's due. A police officer owns property on this street, maybe you should speak to him. I've spoken to the traffic bureau in the past who said they could bring a speed limit trailer and post a cruiser once a week. They did neither and it would have only been a bandage on an open wound. I sat on my porch and counted vehicles and clocked speeds with a radar gun from 6am til 7pm and I invite any official to sit with me between 2 and 5 to see this traffic at its worst

This issue was submitted to the city of Chicopee, not the police dept and should not be continually closed by them. The city would be the ones who would have to install speed humps, or enact legislation for speed cameras, or lobby the state because all this traffic is coming back and forth from 391 and 141 which are state roads. Please let city officials address this issue

I agree with Steve. I am also a resident of Dallaire Ave. Speeding cars a lot . Street is used as a throughway. Tractor trailer trucks also a problem. A speed bump would definitely be a speeding deterrent.

I agree with Steve and Lisa. This is a reoccurring problem and is directed towards City of Chicopee, not Police Dept social media manager to make passive aggressive comments.

The issue was sent to the police department as we enforce traffic. Speed bumps cannot be put on city streets. Please call when cars are speeding, so a car can be sent, and it logged in. As stated, there have been zero calls for traffic issues/speeding on Dallaire Ave. thanks. Creating calls and logging them shows a need for extra patrols. That’s why you must call.

Response to Mike's last comment: this is not a traffic enforcement issue as you can't or won't do anything. I told you that hundreds of cars and trucks are speeding all day so you can send a car at any time. You will not see speeders while in cruisers. You can log this and other comments as easily as phone calls. People don't like to call because the police are unfriendly on the phone. Holyoke has speed humps on some of there streets and they work very well. I will be getting all of this info to the city

I live on Dallaire ave too. It is way to busy on our street. The cars and trucks speed down our street. I would be okay with a speed bump.

Thanks Mary. These speed humps for the street are different than the bumps in parking lots. They are gradual and are fine at 20mph but if you go faster its a very uncomfortable ride. I think that this is one of our few options right now.

And we need a NO TRUCK sign like the city just gave Rolf avenue. We get about 50 trucks a day and they are speeding too.

That last video was speed humps on a street which the Chicopee police said couldn't be done. I think that this is our best bet until our state enacts speed camera legislation. Day and night and many more companies than these and bigger and louder and faster and just as many commercial vehicles like pickups and vans. I don't know what criteria Rolf avenue had to meet to get their no trucks sign, but I'm fairly sure that we meet or beat it. Try living on Deslauriers St . we get more and more cars cutting thru from Pendleton to Westover Rd or reverse to avoid the rotary. that wouldn't be bad but these idiots are always racing thru. and way too many trucks...… Uhaul for one was told to not let their drivers cut thru here, they were trying to avoid a Uturn on memorial to head to their business but it keeps up. Just yest I saw a large school bus flying by about 40 mph from Westover rd to Pendleton. I couldn't believe the speed of that. Many years ago when someone complained to PD Chief, they had one of those digital signs dropped off mid morning ---- for 2 hours! not from noon - 6 when everyone races down. We gave up calling the PD when the reply was always, Get the plate and call us. they were told, they were speeding too fast to get the plate...………. making many streets one way will curb the issue a little.

I absolutely agree with speeding is a huge issue in this area. I live on Pleasantview ave, my street has been on the news in the past for speed issues. I actually was interviewed in 2016 regarding this. I walk 3 of my 5 children to Lambert every day. We wait at the intersection of Pleasantview and Dale to cross and I am always so worried one of my children will trip into the road because these cars are going so fast there is no way they could stop for an emergency. I don't have side walks on my side of the street to take us up to any cross walks. It's not much of a big deal to walk through the grass to a cross walk right now but when the snow comes we would need to walk through the road in order to get to either of the cross walks close to us to cross Dale. Unfortunately, my children's safety is a concern and I can't stand on the street corner and call the police for the number of cars speeding. I have seen cruisers sitting outside Lambert on a number of occasions, why not move up to Dale once in a while and see for yourself. If I drive I purposely drive 25 mph , the speed limit of Dale and mckinstry and constantly have cars honking and trying to speed past me. My middle schooler stands on the corner of Rolf and Dale to catch the bus. It's very nerve wracking knowing how dangerous this intersection is and how crazy the people drive through here. I have seen this reported on a number of areas. Something needs to be done. My husband and I have actually considered purchasing our own speed bump to put outside our home because it is of such a concern to us.

Thanks Alex. When the police can't do anything about it I don't know what options we have besides no truck signs and speed humps. And for those I think we need to speak to the DPW and city council. It's a Citywide problem and it needs to be addressed.

I reached out to some city officials and they reached back. It's a good sign and I will comment again when there are more specifics. Share comment and vote.

The ChicopeePolice department has just completed a nine day traffic study on Dallaire Avenue. We should have the results back in a week or two. After that we can begin talks about possible resolutions to the speeding and the truck traffic. This was a good first step and I give credit to the city officials involved and I'll be glad to name them later on. I'll comment again when we get the results.

This video was from Fairview off of new Ludlow Road.The no truck signs are on four streets in a row because every street goes to the same place and if you put up only one sign the trucks will use the other streets. I guarantee that they didn't have the truck traffic that we have here.A No truck sign was put up three streets from here which only increased the truck traffic on the other streets especially ours. We would settle for a no trucks sign on Dallaire Avenue but we really need them on all of the five streets that are being used as shortcuts for the trucks going from Grattan to Dale and back again. East st between Teddy Bear Pools and the Springfield city line there are NO I repeat NO speed limit signs. Just past the city line into Springfield you have a poor woman, 3rd day on the job as a crossing guard who was struck and killed by a car a few months back. I have a funny feeling that speed was Involved. The Police need to be PROACTIVE not REACTIVE, the "Call when you see speeding" is getting REALLY old CPD. I drive for a living, I'm in Chicopee all the time, I have NOT seen a CPD cruiser doing any kind of Radar or Laser speed traps in years, possibly decades. If you have? How many citations have been Issued in the last 4 months on East st? I've asked that question on multiple social media platforms with no answers. Everything you said is 100% right. How many of our laws in Chicopee are not enforced and are becoming mere suggestions? This affects all of our lives and it's no wonder the property owners in Chicopee are moving away and renting their properties 2 people who don't care as much how about our quality of life. We need to hold our city officials accountable. We are still waiting on the results of the traffic report on Dallaire Avenue and when we get it we will expect something to be done and if something can be done here because of the noise we've made then something can be done with all of our issues all over Chicopee.

Please post that traffic report here when it becomes available. Did they put the mobile electronic speed limit sign on your street? For some odd reason they think those work. Breaking news report, They Don't, Drivers either don't care or they're to busy messing with their phone. EVERYTIME i'm behind a car going down Abbey Memorial behind szot park, they're going 10 to 15+ over the speed limit, thanks to the electronic signs i have proof. I would love to know what the cost was to the tax payer for those 2 signs. Waste of $$$.

You're right those signs don't work. On my street they put up a black box the counted all the traffic that separated cars from trucks and recorded speeds and they left it up for a week. I've already done my own traffic study I know what those numbers should be and when they come back something needs to be done. I'll post those numbers here for everyone to see.

Realized I was driving by Dallaire Ave Chicopee took a left and saw the Speed Limit sign is 15MPH. NO WAY ANYONE is driving 15 on ANY side street anywhere in the city. Any update on the traffic report (Steve) ??

I got the traffic report back last week and took some time to analyze it. I didn't get the full report but what I saw was a little disappointing compared to the numbers I've done myself. You're right about the speed limit signs being 15 miles an hour but the DPW in the traffic report recommended taking them down. Does that make any sense to anybody. Even according to the traffic report hundreds of cars a day are going over 25 miles an hour but the police say they won't enforce anything unless it goes over 35 miles an hour. That's pretty crazy. The three streets around us have double yellow lines and the posted speed limit is 25 miles an hour. Most of the cars on those roads are doing over 35. That's way too fast for our side streets. The city of saying that they won't put up speed humps, that they want to remove our 15 mile an hour signs, and they won't put up no truck signs even though they go just as fast and we probably get 40 or 50 a day. So what will they do, doesn't sound like much. Like I said I think the numbers on a traffic report or too low because I had already count it all the vehicles that go down our street everyday and I had a radar gun and my numbers were higher. I think I'll have to get a motion sensor camera and another radar gun to prove that their numbers aren't accurate. It's unbelievable how everyone working 4 the city of Chicopee do not want to do anything about the current situations that we have. I'm going to open up a new issue because this one is getting way too long and I don't think enough people are reading it anymore. I will open up a more condensed version and have videos available. More people have to complain to the city or nothing will ever get done. I'll try to get these issues on social media on broadcast media in print media and to the state. I left a comment that was very long and involved and detailed but was blocked. If my comments are going to be censored then maybe I need to leave them one sentence at a time. If anyone wants to stop by and talk to me about their issues I live at number 18. All conversations will be strictly confidential. No one should have to go to these lengths to voice their concerns to the city and have the city take them seriously. Right now, you can't comment anonymously so you have to change your name in your account so the city doesn't know who you are.

I just received an automated email suggesting I close this issue. I won't be doing that at this time I will be updating it though and I hurt people to check out this issue online instead of their phone so they can see the videos that aren't accessible on the phone app

I got some of that report and their numbers are lower than I got in my traffic study. Their totals are a few hundred cars a day less than I got and the speeds are a little lower and I didn't get any numbers on truck traffic like I was told. When I did mine I sat on the porch and counted every vehicle by hand and had a radar gun and marked on the speed separated cars and trucks and recorded hour by hour. I think I have to do it again but on video so that there's no mistaking my numbers.

My last comment is being held for approval, whatever that means.

Every time I comment on the traffic study, they block my comment. I'll be making shorter comments so I don't waste my time.

The numbers on that traffic study are significantly lower than mine.

They reported on the traffic over seven days, but only two of them were complete work days.

I did my traffic study on paper, but I think I need to do another one on video so that there's no mistaking the results.

I got no information on the trucks that were supposed to be counted. In my study, I found almost 100 commercial vehicles and almost 50% of that was trucks.

Mind you, all this is going on with 15 mile an hour speed limit signs. Christopher Chaban, Chicopee Engineer, is recommending taking down those signs because Chicopee says they are unenforceable. The city is also refusing to put up No Trucks Signs like they have a few streets over and other places in Chicopee, because they say that is also unenforceable.

I originally put all these comments into one, but it was blocked. By the way, I am bringing this issue of traffic on my street to the attention of anyone who should be involved, not just for me, but for so many people experiencing the same problems.

That study used some questionable math that minimizes the speeding problem. The fact is, that on the two full workdays that they used, more than 200 vehicles a day were going faster than 25 miles an hour with a posted speed limit of 15 miles an hour. And Chicopee says that's Acceptable.

Maybe my comments are being blocked because I'm using the term radar gun. Let's find out if they block this one.

When you do the radar are you standing in the street in plain view of traffic? Are you recording plate numbers? I have a speeder at the end of my street.
I happen to be talking to someone at the end of my driveway one-day, and here comes the speeder. I stepped right out into the street. He had to brake quickly and does not speed so much anymore.. I think you folks need to spend time in the street.

Well, Chicopee in its infinite wisdom has now taken down our 15 mile an hour speed limit signs and a slow children sign. So, when Chicopee citizens complain, they are retaliated against. When someone complained about speeders to our local news stations, they were told not to do that anymore. Then the police came by and ticketed all the cars on that street that weren't parked properly. When someone complained that the police officer at Lambert Lavoie school never got out of his cruiser, we never saw it again. I think that we have to complain to the media as often and as loudly as possible to try to hold Chicopee accountable for their actions and inaction. I don't know that anything will ever change unless we vote all elected officials out of office and replace them with people that care. This isn't over!

I DO NOT want "speed humps" in this city. Have you driven in Hamp lately? They have these throughout the city and they are atrocious for wear and tear on your vehicle. Our streets need numerous repairs. The only streets in Chicopee in decent condition are the heavily traveled streets and those streets in neighborhoods where they have completed the sewer separation project. Let's fix our streets before we waste money on "speed humps!"

Having speed humps on our shortcuts streets will not inconvenience anyone that isn't speeding. We should be able to have well paved streets and still have safety. It doesn't have to be just one or the other.

To the people of Chicopee: It's with a heavy heart that I must limit my role in fighting for better Quality of Life in our city.There are hundreds of speeders and 50 trucks a day on Dallaire Avenue. A point of contention has been what speed is acceptable on our small residential streets. Years ago I did traffic study vehicle by vehicle, hour by hour, recording speeds with a radar device and the city gave us 15 mph speed limit signs. Recently we voice our concern on the Chicopee website, as instructed, that the problem still exists. They took our signs down and said that the Police will only stop vehicles at speeds over 35 miles an hour. One person can't change an embedded culture of apathy and selfishness. The approach needs to be more like a relay race where after we've given all that we can we pass the baton to fresher legs and greater energy.
By making a difference here, we hoped to help others with similar issues. Not only did Chicopee do nothing to help, but they retaliated by taking down our signs. Speeders can now feel free to go even faster. In another move that has to be considered the lowest of the low, our city removed our" Slow Children" sign. They intentionally put our children in even more danger from speeding traffic just to silence their critics and make them shut up and take it. This is unconscionable and should be prosecutable by the proper state officials. What could be worse? And what could be next? I have given my best effort to this point but there are other important things like family and friends to consider. I'm out of gas. I will be available to anyone who thinks that they might benefit from my experience. You know where I live because I chose not to be anonymous in an effort to give more credibility to this cause.

To continue: To the powers that be in the city of Chicopee: Saying that you should be ashamed of yourselves is putting It mildly. How can you take your salaries and pensions, paid for by our taxes, and provide the poor services that you do? You must have discovered the cure for insomnia because it's the only explanation for how you can sleep at night. Even you admit that too many homeowners are moving away for better Quality of Life but you are taking no steps to address this problem and you fight anyone else who tries. Chicopee is becoming a city of rental property and without homeowners, even fewer people will care what happens here. Your apathy, selfishness, and complete lack of civic pride and responsibility, sits like a flaming dung heap on the steps of City Hall. People will get tired of walking around it and they will put out the fire and shovel it into the dirt where it belongs. If our officials don't from their self induced coma soon, Chicopee will not recover. You can add my name to the growing list of Chicopee homeowners leaving for greener pastures where town officials aspire to a higher standard and people care about people. When the right opportunity presents itself, I will sell my house which has been home to four generations of my family for 100 years. You will reap what you sow to which you would say" sow what?" I wish the people who share the same concerns as I do, more support and more success as they take the baton. Goodbye Chicopee Massachusetts.

The above link is to a list of all the streets in Chicopee with lower speed limits. The city had told us that anything below 25 miles an hour was unenforceable. They Lied. Chicopee could add our street to that list if they wanted to. And they could add our street to the" No Trucks" list if they wanted to. They did it for Rolf Avenue just three streets over. If Chicopee doesn't address these issues with us now, things will get worse and more costly later.

The city can not just put speed limit signs up wherever they want or think there should be one. There is a process that involves the state to do a speed study and determine what the speed limit should be and then approve the speed limit sign. Until that is done the city does have an ordinance city wide that if there is no speed limit sign then the speed limit SHALL be 25MPH. If you are still having an issue with the speed on the street then please contact your councilor or the police dept.

Thanks for the Info. There use to be a 25MPH sign right at the Intersection of East and Beauchamp, It was destroyed by a car accident and never put back up. Thanks for the contact advice but it doesn't work. We've called and called and called about multiple speeding issues all over the area only to have the calls fall on deaf ears. It's borderline scary how the Issues never get addressed and you NEVER see the CPD doing any type of speed enforcement. It's a shame, it really is.

CPO,You are right with what you say. We have received much the same information as you have. With a street that size, I think that the only help with speeding would come from increased enforcement by the CPD which they say is difficult. I think that the only real long-term solution would be speed cameras that handout fines automatically. We'll have to lobby the State for that. That is in the works but the more people that contact them the better. In the meantime, talk to your City Councilor and any Public Official you can. We have had some success by posting on Social Media and contacting Print Media and Broadcast Media. I strongly suggest contacting Officials whose contact information is available on the Chicopee website and Massachusetts website. We've got to educate ourselves and others on the Laws and make as much noise as possible. We will keep posting comments on any new developments.

Recently we submitted a public records request form For the Entire traffic study and its cost that was done on our street in October. It was submitted over a week ago and we have yet to hear from the city.We are doing our own study which will include video of every vehicle With a time and date stamp And speed readout. There will be no way to dispute it. Traffic tends to be less and slower in the winter. If we are not satisfied with the numbers then we will do another one in the spring. I read the dozens of comments on this issue and can't help but laugh. It blows my mind the amount of "pass the buck" that takes place when it comes to issues that exist and are real. You can't tell me multiple city officials HAVEN'T read this? Hey Steve, how many times have you been Invited to a City tax payer funded office to help you with this problem? Maybe you have and I'm just being a wise a$$ but as far as I can see you have not?

We have not been contacted by any relevant City official who could address this problem. Not the mayor, not the city council, not the DPW, not the police department. You would think that the city would have addressed the issues that we have raised. We have no choice but to continue to make as much noise as possible by Word of Mouth, media including social, broadcast, and print.

It's amazing how quickly the CPD get Involved once the media is informed.

I find the towns and city's that are concerned about speed and pedestrians use these.

Those would be a good idea. I did a public records request for the traffic study on this street and the cost of it weeks ago I haven't heard anything from anybody. I will be doing another traffic study soon with video and speed detection device and time date stamps so no one can argue anything. There are other changes in the works that the city will have to deal with because they've chosen not to deal with the things that they have in front of them now. Stay tuned.

Well today I complained about the city. And what happens? The city comes down our street and hands out recycling non-compliance notices. This city doesn't enforce anything and all of a sudden when somebody complains on our street, the city decides it's time to dig through our trash. Coincidence or more retaliation?

Next time you see someone speeding call and tell them there's a glass bottle in your neighbors trash bin.

This issue is not taken seriously by city officials and especially not the Chicopee Police Dept. At the same time it is up to people in the community to recognize their wrong behavior, because it is ruining this city.

All the town has to do is put a cop on the street and check the speeds of the people driving down our street. It is so simple.

This is the original document from the traffic study on our street when we had 15 mile an hour speed limit signs. The police would enforce anything over 26 miles an hour and this study concluded that 43% of the traffic could have been cited for speeding.

This is the document I was given after the city changed it. They change the speed limit to 25 miles an hour meaning the police would only enforce anything over 36 miles an hour. Then they took down our 15 mile-per-hour speed limit signs. Now people will feel free to drive even faster. Well I guess they solved the enforcement issue, didn't they. This is an example of how the city responds to our concerns. This isn't over!

Now that our 15 mile an hour speed limit signs are gone,The police won't stop any vehicle that's not going over 35 miles an hour. This video shows what 35 miles an hour it looks like on our street which is only 500 feet long with just one travel lane.

This is the sign on the Chicopee side of Springfield street as you come up from Baystate. Doing 30 MPH, how could you possibly read that and understand it.

That's crazy. If you go to the Big Y from Montgomery Street you will see a 30 mile an hour speed limit sign about a hundred feet before the parking lot. So the Big Y and BJ's parking lots are 30 miles an hour, are you kidding me?

On March 30, a woman was driving down Chicopee Street when police said that she encountered a group of dirt bikers on the road.

They noted that a man and woman were attacked while they were in their car.

The beat goes on as my posts are being rejected. I'm sharing info that's all over the news.

We contacted the Massachusetts Department of Transportation per the Massachusetts website and we are waiting to hear back. It's not over until Chicopee does the right thing.

Mayor Kos' office has reported this to the Health Department. We are expecting further information within 14 days - BGM

There is now a speed trailer on Dallaire Avenue. This is a bandage on an open wound and when it falls off the open wound is still there. The city thinks that it makes them look like they're doing something. Even IF it slows people down a FEW miles an hour, when it's gone the traffic returns to speeding again. This is a waste of time and money and another example of the city doing what is easiest for them.

Here is a list of citable motor vehicle offenses and the fine amount. These are things that the Chicopee police do not enforce and that would be a great source of revenue. We all see these things on our streets every day.

The only way to get results... Call, Call, Call, Call. Keep on calling and calling. Every-time you call into the CPD dispatch, the calls are logged and the officer responding is logged. Those call and response logs are public Info and are posted monthly. Keep track of your call and then check the log at months end. Its a royal pain in the a$$ I know believe me.... BUT it works. I had 2 issues on my street and those issues are pretty close to being fixed. Keep on calling, don't stop calling until the issue is resolved. They can pretend they don't see us on here BUT that cannot Ignore your call. I was told by an officer responding to my street, Call Call Call, get plate #'s vehicle description ect... It's a lot of work TRUST ME I know. Once they have vehicle Info and respond to an incident that person and vehicle Info (if habitual) stays in their database and the responding officer can see all of that Info on the CPD laptop in the cruiser. Help them to help you. The CITY is the same as every other form of government, they move when they want to move it's Politics 101. Put the Chicopee Police on speed dial. Dallaire Avenue sees about 10 buses a day using it as a shortcut. They are often speeding. If school buses are also given a 10 mph enforcement threshold, like other vehicles, that means that they are allowed to go 35 mph on our residential streets. What standards are they held to? And what is there obligation when there are Slow Children signs? Not only are they putting children that are walking at risk, but they are teaching all the children that are on the bus that signs and rules and laws can be ignored.

School department, please take note of this comment and respond. The audio on this recording is not good and we will see what we can do for future videos.

Thank you Ken, Almost fell out of my chair when I saw your response. I can't remember the last time a city official commented on here.

School bus's big and small also fly down Lachine st. You'd think the BIG Bus drivers would be going slower than the speed limit considering the stopping distance. They shouldn't be using this street as it's not the standard width. A few months back the morning driver was having a tough time fitting down the street with cars parked (legally) on both sides. The bus driver decides to sit there and beep the horn for about 3 minutes straight expecting people to rush out and move their cars??. He did that 4 days in a row by the way. I have a great Idea, use a different street sir. Thank you again Ken, we all appreciate your involvement on this / these continued city wide issues.

We had a public safety meeting about our street and it's traffic problems. We brought up the idea of a speed bump once again and this time, instead of saying no, the city said that our street is too sloped and would be unsafe for a speed bump. We checked and the street is only a 2% slope, which we are told by engineers is normal for water runoff. We notified All City officials and haven't heard back. We have a feeling that our emails are going into a spam folder and are never seen. We will have to appeal 2 State officials from now on.

The subject comes up every year and I saw it in a city council meeting recently. The crosswalk should be 50 ft over from the Alden parking lot to the corner of t d and then more people would use it and parking vehicles would not be shielding the pedestrians from the traffic. Even a councilman admitted that but they keep trying to tweak little fixes when all they have to do is move the crosswalk 50ft to where it makes sense and it is safer.

Just yesterday I spoke with a police officer that was on Dallaire Ave. About the speeding traffic and he suggested a speed bump. Which we all have and been turned down by the city because they wrongly stated that the slope of our street was too great. If you can talk to City officials one at a time they agree that there's a problem. Collectively they deny and Stonewall and make excuses and provide misinformation. This officer said he would put some radar on the traffic here when he can. It's good to hear caring cooperation.

The Fight Continues. Don't forget to vote in November. We need to vote out John vieau and Gary LaBrie. The do-nothing Chicopee City Council needs to change.

Well, the election is over and Chicopee kept all their incumbents. There are too many low-information voters who don't watch the news or read the paper and just re-elect whoever's on the ballot. We need to get rid of the incumbent tag on the ballots because if people don't recognize the names then they should not be voting. We will continue to work for positive change in Chicopee.

I just spoke with the Massachusetts secretary of Commonwealth William galvin's office and our state representative Joe Wagner's office. They were very nice and helpful especially compared to the city of Chicopee. We will see what the state of Massachusetts can do for us.

That's some positive news. Sad... 1558 views, and over a year and its STILL unresolved.

My friends that live in Neighboring towns Laugh at this stuff. Those same towns also have the city of Chicopee's most powerful and Highest paid employees as residents. If they lived here the city would be a much nicer place. Think about that.....

We requested public records from Chicopee for the criteria for a lower speed limit, no truck sign, and speed bump. They refused. We got William galvin's office to order them to respond. They have not. Joe Wagner's office said that he is on it. Maura Healey's office said we should call DOT. We aren't done yet.

Chicopee continues to discourage our efforts to fix our traffic issues. We are still communicating with multiple state offices to hold Chicopee to account. We are growing weary but are not ready to quit yet which is exactly what Chicopee wants us to do.

I was Involved in a recent traffic or "public safety issue", CPD basically said to handle it on my own. I guess my question back should have been "If i see my neighbors house being broken into I should call my neighbor and not the CPD correct?" It's quite disturbing how these issues continue.

It seems to be the status quo, same old same old. This city doesn't do anything it doesn't have to do.
