Once again, without notice, the water is off at 232 Ellsworth Ave, probably for repairs. I called Pike's office, but when I said it wasn't in my apartment but the building itself, they hung up and went to voicemail. This is typical. The city is in the Independent relating to lead problems. Why not this continuous treatment of the tenants here? Once again, refer to all my previous emails about the problems here.
ay nagtanong din...
T. Is the problem blight (trash, etc) outside, or is it a problem with the building (illegal use, housing code violation, etc)?

The Independent has had articles about lead, another slumlord convicted for a dirty crime, and his apartments in disrepair. The LCI inspector who initiated the order to get my shower repaired (after the usual Pike 2 weeks in denial), said "You shouldn't have to do this". No one should.

Dan B, looks like there was a fire system issue that caused the water shut off without notice...not like Pike could give tenants a courtesy phone blast nor a door to door notification of the "no water convenience" to tenants...maybe you missed the memo???
I do encourage you to place complaints to LCI every single time you have one, the City of New Haven erected LCI for this very same need..."absent Landlord syndrome". What is unfortunate is that unless you maintain your stance to call and follow up repeatedly, your complaint may be muted. Its really hard to make accountable those who contribute SO MUCH tax $$$$$$$ to the city.
