I wonder how bad it will get when they build that new elementary school out here and we have bus's and other vehicles driving up and down it all day. If they can't fix this road how do they suppose to fix the road the new school will be on? It's narrow and with the development of the Nutters on the Green to its east the over flow of rain water runs down into an extremely small culvert thus flooding the road. This is getting really old. My neighbor told me one of our alderman told him we don't pay enough taxes to warrant the city fixing our road. Do tell!!

They dug up the street and put the base in with gravel on top and widened it a tad bit but have yet to see the pavers. My wife has contacted the city engineer several times but has not had any return calls. They told us the middle of November our road and Pheasant Road would be paved. Must be muttering under their breath again. I wonder if they haven't wasted all the road funds for something else.

They came out last week after my wife called the city engineer's office 4 times trying to find out when they would pave the road. We were told the middle of November, well here it is we are into December and all they have done is dump some more gravel, graded it and dump some water on it. I am begining to think the city engineer is trying to stall us until it gets to cold to put asphalt down and then that will be there excuse for not paving the road. If that is the case they should never have started work on it to begin with but then again they shouldn't have waited 13yrs to do any major work on it either. I hate to think how rutted up and pot holed the road will be by spring if nothing is done to it as all it really is now is a dirt and gravel road. I don't care to pay taxes for another 13yrs before the city gets off their backside and paves it. I hope that the matter is resolved and we can quit having to deal with this issue. It may be forth coming that if the city doesn't pave it by spring that legal action may have to be brought forth.

The road has been paved.

It's been fixed finally after 13 1/2 years and only after intervention by a member of Senate questioned the legality of not fixing it and using our tax dollars for something else.
