If you see a bus speeding you should call the bus company. Even if you can't get the bus number they should be able to identify the driver by the time the bus was in the location

It took years to get four way stop signs at the intersection of Central, Willard and Yale Ave. accidents are way down, but cars still running the signs and the four way blinking red lights constantly, but at least drivers are looking both ways before running stop signs!
It takes 4 seconds to stop but I’ve noticed many drivers are in a rush to bother stopping!!

I contacted the city about starting the process for a 4 way stop sign and they said that there was not enough crash data to warrant a stop sign. That is one of the most absurd things I have ever heard! Why does it take crashes to make a neighborhood intersection safe? There are horns and near accidents daily. A cyclist was hit last year due to a speeding car. How many more do they need? How hard is it to put two stop signs in? I just do not understand the logic behind this.

This request has reached our department previously, and as a result of research done at that time it was determined by our traffic engineers that this location does not warrant a 4 way stop. We encourage you to communicate with the alder of your ward on requests like this, who is able to start a larger dialogue with the community as well as our department about feasible improvement implementation.

Another accident at this intersection today that involved an ambulance.

Yes, this needs to be addressed, just the like Central/Willard intersection was. If you're on Willard, you simply cannot see the cars coming without pulling out into the middle of Alden.

It looks like there was another accident in the last couple days. The tree on the corner of Willard and Alden was smashed into by a car and there were tire marks on my lawn, as well as a hub cap.

Another collision at this intersection this morning. How much more crash data do we need to collect to get a 4-way stop here?

Pics from today's accident. Enough is enough, already! There is a post on SCF from 2011 with 45 comments of people demanding a 4 way stop to be installed and it still has not happened. There have been dozens of accidents and injuries since and for no good reason. Shame on you, New Haven! I applied for this intersection to be looked at and their response was that this intersection didn't have the "crash data" to support the need. What an absolute joke.

I was driving on Alden yesterday, had the right of way and cars from both directions on Willard crossed Alden in front of me. I had to slam on my brakes so that my car wouldn't be hit. I had the right of way.
