Since the new MRP construction at the Rhode Island ave shopping center started, MRP has cut access to the Metropolitan branch trail pedestrian bridge to the Rhode Island ave metro station. Edgewood residents need to now walk along Rhode Island ave to travel between metro and the Edgewood community. Vehicles is the area speed and do not respect pedestrians that are on a very narrow sidewalk while walking under the bridge that services CSX, Amtrak, and MARC Trains. Traffic study requested along with speed camera and police enforcement. Also additional light requested in the area before the clocks change in fall 2018 to go back to standard time.
