Since when is a left turn on red legal?!!

This has not been fixed.

It has been a while since this was reported. Is there someone in Hartford who should be called about it? Can you document the issue with a few photos? That could help rally folks as well.

Nothing has been done about this. Witnessed a very near accident last week at this intersection. Still don't understand why people think left turn on red is OK!

Left turn on a red (after stopping) from a one-way street to another one-way street is legal in most states, but not in CT. Prospect goes one-way southbound during rush hour (~915 am).

As a new resident, I had to look the law up. I make this turn daily and agree that a sign is badly needed here.

Also, the red light on the left turn light is broken today (Dec 7).

I think it is a dangerous intersection. The situation is very confusing. I recently was one of those making a left onto Grove and just didn't know what to do. This should be sent to the Planning Dept. to be reworked.

If you think this is dangerous for drivers, you should try to cross that intersection during that time as a pedestrian. It's nearly impossible. This intersection is one block from the Convention Center - I think it is only a matter of time before we lose someone at this corner - hopefully it won't be a visitor to our fine city.
