Hi—I am following up to see if Highway Division is going to come out and inspect the pipes.

this is a photo of the intersection of Herbert and Mellenbrook. this is typical of what happens when we get heavy rain, despite there being 5 drains at that intersection. Thanks again!

Inspected issue on 12/27/18. Checked all inlet drains at intersection, they are clean inside with no debris. Grates need cleaning from leaf build up( will add to be cleaned). Noticed resident and adjoining properties had their gutters discharging behind houses directing more water into the low lying area. Work in the back yard would be up to the property owner.

I wish you would have rung the doorbell, I was home and would have been happy to speak with you. Were you able to inspect the pipes through the easement? Water is coming to the surface where the easement is, as if the pipes are cracked/broken/separated. You can see running water above the ground surface above the storm drain pipes in the video I posted--this is not a result of the rain gutters on the house. There is some water coming from them of course, but the locations of the down spouts are the same as they have been for many years. This water used to jut soak into the ground, but now there is running water above the easement, even after it stops raining. Please contact John McCoy from CA for more discussion, thank you.

This item needs to be reopened. It appears that the inspection on 27Dec18 was just a look into the grates and street drains and not the pipes under the easement as requested. Please re-inspect including ensuring that the drain pipes under the easement are not cracked/broken/separated. Thank you.

Chris, I contacted Real Estate Services to check on the easement/ownership of the drainage pipes that run along and behind your property. The response I got from them was that they could not locate a deed conveying an easement for storm drain to the County in this area. Would you have any documents saying otherwise ?
