Wow, January 22nd! 8 months and not even an acknowledgement. Vallejo: the city that cares!

I came thru there the other night it was dark and cars parked on both sides up to the corner... someone made the turn at the light coming off Georgia and slammed on the brakes because there was NO ROOM to come down the street!! Almost got the entire drivers side wiped out on my Yukon

Work order to have red curb painted on 14th St adjacent to Georgia Street has been submitted for approval.

Lol I’m not sure anything gets fixed... i almost got side swiped by opposite direction traffic tryin to squeeze thru.. because the guy on the corner like to park right at the light ... he has a backyard parking and can park on Georgia but likes to park here and no one will make it red

The work order has been approved, will check on the status. Paint work orders have been delayed quite a bit due to the long stretch of the rainy season (paint work cannot started if the pavement/curb has any moisture in it.)

How far do you have to be parked from a stop sign?

California DMV says: "Within 30 feet (10 m) of a traffic light, STOP sign or YIELD sign. Within 20 feet (6 m) of a fire station driveway, or within 75 feet (23 m) on the opposite side of the road. Along a curb that is cut, lowered or made for access to the sidewalk. You cannot park your vehicle within 50 feet (15 m) of a railroad crossing."

And yet, in Vallejo, with all of our steep hills and narrow streets, we see people every day parking right up a stop sign, traffic light or curb cut. Why? Because it's Vallejo, and we have no law enforcement!

And speaking of steep hills. When the friendly old cop in the Cushman Cart was patrolling, he regularly tagged parkers with wheels not curbed. And now he's gone....

They paint the red curb on the WRONG side of the street wow ppl!!! Can we get this fixed makes you wonder how easy it is to work for u

remove the side walk extension on either side...cars are parking on top of them 24/7 anyways. BUT do not remove any trees. Where there are trees do a bump-out, people will park in between. Bump-outs are used in other cities to slow traffic, per the traffic experts. This entire neighborhood has reduced streets but the level of traffic on this ONE block merits modification. The tax paying citizens that live on this street deserve not to have to "4-wheel Off Road" park everyday.

I avoid this street 98% of the time...all other times I say a prayer before using!!
