Peat Meadow ghetto Appliance Super store. Keep on doing your best super citizen. You are one of Fair Haven’s rising community activists. As always...SCF or city agencies do not monitor this site so do your duty and call XYZ to complain because the city of New Haven hates Fair Haven heights.
If these are outside of the fence this is not allowed if the doors are still on because a child could get trapped. I am not sure what the law is if they are inside one's property. I called public safety 203 946-6316 just to be safe. I suggest in the future others do the same, You can then post to alert others and to have a record it was called in.
It is blight and needs to be removed. The gates are falling down and are not enclosed. The appliances have doors which cause a safety issue to children among other issues. The city should take action to enforce the blight.
“It contains unauthorized storage or accumulation of junk, trash, rubbish, litter or refuse of any kind; the parking of inoperable vehicles (unless the premises is a legally licensed junkyard) or the presence of any inoperable machinery and equipment”
I am not sure if the person from LCI who covers this area monitors this site. You can call the mayor's office 203 946-8200 tomorrow and they will connect you to LCI
As of today, there are EVEN MORE appliances here. At least 5 refrigerators, 5 washers, 5 dryers, 5 ovens. Yard is not fenced in and is accross from park and playground. Dangerous and trashy looking. Have been there for weeks and the pile gets larger.
Posting here alerted others but the problem is still there. You should use the phone then post what department you called to have a record it was called in.
The property had been inspected by a housing code inspector and the owner is being served with a violation notice by marshal, which outlines the need for immediate removal of all unauthorized storage within the property. Please call 203-946-7090 with any concerns.
